ATLANTA -- Police activity on a metro Atlanta interstate has stopped traffic in both directions late Monday morning.
Traffic is backed up in both directions on I-85 at Cleveland Avenue.
The Georgia Department of Transportation says all lanes are blocked southbound, including the exit lanes. Two lanes are open for northbound traffic.
The backup for southbound traffic stretches onto the Downtown Connector to beyond Langford Parkway.
Right now, transportation officials do not know how long it will take to reopen the road.
