Dunwoody Police Officer Tim Fecht said the owner of a home on Hidden Branches Drive woke up to discover her back door open and some of her electronics placed nearby.
When the homeowner saw the suspect's silhouette inside the house, she returned to her bedroom and called 911, Fecht said.
The suspect ran when police arrived, but officers surrounded the area and caught him. He was identified as 22-year-old HT Smith.
Smith is being held in the DeKalb County Jail on a burglary charge. Fecht said investigators are now trying to determine if he is responsible for other recent burglaries in Dunwoody.
